I Broke it.
Well I have done what I thought was impossible. I have broken Mr. Tready, and I almost killed myself when it happened. Allow me to explain, I had started a new training program on my quest to the 10k. it consists of running for a set time then fast walking. If you really want the details the program is called Couch 2 5K in 9 weeks.
So there I was almost finished with day 2 of my new program. I am right in the middle of the run part, when all of sudden the treadmill starts sticking. the first time it happened I thought “pick up your feet dummy you’re getting lazy at the end of your workout” By the way I was running at 6.5 miles an hour even on a treadmill you have forward momentum going and I am weighing in at 287 right now, so you do the math. Weight times velocity times stationary object divided by gravity, to the third power you get the point. I actually wish I worked out on video because I am sure that my facial expression, and the way I grabbed the handles as I came to a screeching halt in the middle of a run… and then when the belt started moving again was at least a $10,000 AFV moment.
Now for the bad news. After reading the manual {yes I do read manuals when I have to.} and trying to readjust the belt tension myself I had to call the professionals. The good news is that they can fix it, the bad news is that it is going to cost me around $120.00 and the appointment times are a minimum 3 days out. The good news is that I guess I am not the only one who breaks their treadmill if they are that busy. The bad news is that it is like 28 degrees in the mornings around here so if you know me, you know I won’t be running outside.
I guess I need to figure something out or I won’t be ready for the 10k in May. Any ideas?

I have an idea…switch back to the old broken PC keyboard, since it seems like you had to work harder to type sermons on it. You’ll be ready for the 10K in no time!
Me, personally, I type the 10K in less than 9 minutes.
