As I have shared with people about my new passion for running and how I am selling my Motorcycle and using the money t o purchase water cisterns for my brothers and sisters in Haiti, and how I am planning on running in a 10k race in May 2010 in order to raise awareness and money for those same people. I have heard many responses. Are you sure this is what you want to do? Why sell your motorcycle, how much difference will it really make? Are you crazy? Are you having a midlife crisis? A Little Bit Of Duct Tape…
It never ceases to amaze me the types of hoops that people will require you to jump through just to get on a plane. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate the tsa and Homeland Security and their efforts to keep travelers and America safe. But we had someone in the Ft Lauderdale Airport that was not going to let us bring our tent because it stuck over the edge of the trial overhead bin area. I even squished it to show her it was a tent and squishable, and she still wouldn’t let us, then she said “well you can tape it down if you have tape” well of course we had tape (no self respecting world traveler goes any where with out some duct tape) so we taped it up end over end and not only made it but, it fit with a little room to spare.
